Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water 24–48 hours before your appointment to support the ease of the treatment.
Avoid sun exposure: Do not tan or use tanning beds for at least 48 hours prior. Sunburned skin cannot be treated.
Reduce sensitivity: Avoid caffeine and vigorous exercise on the day of your appointment if you are sensitive to discomfort.
Limit skin irritation: Avoid retinoids, strong acids, chemical peels, or exfoliating products for 3–5 days prior.
Skip hair removal methods: Do not wax, tweeze, or thread for at least one week before treatment. If shaving or using depilatory creams, stop a few days before your appointment.
Disclose medications: Inform your Electrologist about any medications, hormones, or skin treatments that may affect sensitivity or healing.
Soothe the skin: A calming product such as Witch Hazel or an antiseptic ointment such as Bacitracin is recommended.
Keep the area clean: Gently clean with mild cleanser and water.
Hands off: Avoid touching the treated area to reduce the risk of infection.Temporary redness or small bumps are normal and typically resolve quickly.
No heat for 24–48 hours: Avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and intense workouts.
Avoid sun exposure: Protect the area with SPF 30+ once the skin has calmed.
Skip makeup and heavy products: Wait at least 24 hours before applying makeup, perfumes, or active skincare ingredients.
